Diamond Divisions
A fascination with diamond cuts translated into radial geometric compositions.

The project
Diamond Divisions takes the eighty-eight, emerald, and lozenge cuts as starting points for a series of optical studies. Each shape is divided into nine visually balanced parts and reorganized into circular compositions.
Design direction
The divided forms are reduced by half through four scales, with the largest divisions at the center and smaller forms toward the edge. Black-and-white and grayscale versions explore how tone changes the pattern.
